Obituary of Lena May Harsch

Mrs. Lena May Harsch, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas May, prominent early residents of Dayton, died at her home at Waitsburg Monday morning after an illness of about 12 years. She was 59 years old.

Funeral services were held at Waitsburg Tuesday afternoon and interment was made at the family plot in the Dayton cemetery.

Lena May was born in Dayton April 14, 1879. She was married to D.W. Harsch of this city in 1900 and the couple moved to Waitsburg in 1916. She was a member of the Methodist church of this city.

Besides her husband D.W. Harsch of Waitsbug, she leaves six children; Carl Harsch, Mt. Shasta, California; Mrs. Victor Kaufman, Eureka, California; Donovan Harsch, Milton; Mrs. Martha Spears and Jack Harsch Spokane, and Myron Harsch, Walla Walla. She also leaves two sisters and a brother; Mrs. Mary Hester of Clarkston, and Mrs. Mattie Blowers of Portland, and Ed May of Walla Walla.
