Alice Angell
(1649 - 1743)
Alice Angell was born in 1649 to Thomas and Alice Ashton Angell in Providence, Rhode Island. The Angell and Ashton families were some of the colony's first settlers. Alice married into the Whipple family, also early settlers. She and Eleazer Whipple are buried in the Whipple Mowry Lot in Providence. Alice's mother Alice Ashton at about eighteen years old arrived in America with a trunk and desk inherited from her mother then willed to her daughter Alice.
