Reuben Brockway and George McKenzie of Saint George, Yeomen, and Thomas Myer of Saint Andrews Esq. all of Charlotte County, New Brunswick, posted bond of 100 pounds for Reuben Brockway administrator "of all and singular the Goods, Chattels, and Credits, of William Gill, late of Saint George aforesaid deceased." Reuben Brockway was required to make an inventor and submit it to the Registry of the Prerogative Court by 27 Sep 1825 and an account by 27 Dec 1825. Humbly Sheweth
That Your Excellency's Memorialist was Born in the state of New Hampshire, in the United States of America; That he has been fourteen years an Inhabitant of this Province; took the Oath of Allegiance seven years ago and considers himself a British subject. That he now lives on the Magagaudavic River, where he has continued to reside since his first arrival in the Province – That he is a married man, and has never had any allotment of Land from The Crown. That he is desirous to obtain a proportion of the vacant Land situate at the meadows on the West side of Magagaudavic River aforesaid, distant about fifty miles from the mouth of said River, and to extend down stream; which land is in its natural and uncultivated state.
He therefore most humbly prays, that he may have three hundred acres of Land in the – situation above mentioned, to commence next below the allotment asked for by Solomon Stone, on whichit is his intention forthwith to commence Improving according to The Royal Instructions, being of full ability to comply therewith, and has not directly or indirectly bargained or agreed for the sale or transfer thereof to any Person or Persons whatever –
And as in duty bound will ever pray

To His Excellency Major General George Stracy Smythe Equire Lieutenant Governor and Commander in Chief of the Province of New Brunswick &c &c &cThe Humble Petition of Solomon Stone, Rufas and Ruben Brockway and Gideon Knight, Sheweth that Your Excellen Petitioners mad application for allotments of Land above the Upper Trout Brook on the River Maguaguadavick Early in the Year of Our Lord 1818. that incouragement was given your Petitioners by the Surveyor General that that there had been no application made Previous and that he believed an Order of Survey would be given which [Indresed] your Petitioners to Improve on the Land applied for and they have now made it from the state of native in a situation to Cut Thirty Tonns of Hay and that your Petitioners have continued this year to make large improvements. That there are Grose impositions practicsed on your Petitioners by Trancient Persons who Alledge that there is no Grant for these Lotts and that they have an Equal Right with your Petitioners on all Crown Land, your Petitioners finding them selves imposed upon are Induced to Petition your Excellency to Order that an order be made by the Surveyor General to have the allotments surveyed in Order That a Grant may be made to your Petition Praying that your Excellency may be Greations by pleased to Protext them after so great an under talomg tp Estebelish a settlement Near forty miles from the settlements – and as in duty Bound Your Excelency Petitioners will Ever Pray –

and that your petitioners further states that if the land can't be granted at present that your Excellency will be graciously pleased that there may be a warent of Survey on a letter of ocapation whitch pased the council twenty second of august 1818 So that your petitioners may no where the land is that they may improve and to prevent others trespassing on said land as there has been grait trespassing both in cutting the hay that your petitioners cleared the land and cutting almost all the pine timber there was on the land to the great damage of the land and that your petitioners pray that your Excelency will take into consideration the situation of your petitioners that they have done a great deal of labour on the land by having incouragement that they would have the land and as in duty Bound will pay &c &c &c

To His Excellendy Sir W. M. G. Colebrooke, K.H., Lieutenant Governor and Commander in Chief of the Province of New Brunswick &c &c &cThe Petition of Ruben Brockway Senr.
Humbly Sheweth--
That he is a British Subject, and desirous of purchasing, for actual Settlement Sixty Acres of Crown Land, situated as follows:
Being the [R]ear half of Lot No. 6. North of the lot granted to George Von Serace West Side of Magaguadavic River. St. Patricks Charlotte County. – he having riased the frame of a Grist Mill and built a Kiln for drying Grain. And built a d[am] on Said lot. –
Agreeably to the Regulations passed in Council on the 11th of May, 1843
And as in duty bound will ever pray.
