To His Excellency Major General George Stracey Smyth Lieutenant Governor and Commander in Chief of the Province of New Brunswick &c &c &cThe Memorial of Daniel Brockway single manb, an inhabitant of the Parish of Saint George in the County of Charlotte –
Humbly Shewith
That Your Excellency's Memorialist was born in the United States of America, where he was left very Young, by his Parents who came to this Province, but on the breaking out of the War, in the Year 1812, returned to them in the Parish of Saint George, where he has ever since resided – That he is a Single Man and never received any Grant of land from the Crown. That he is of ability and it is also his intention forthwith to cultivate such land as may be Granted to him by Government according to the Royal Instructions.
Your Memorialist most humbly Prays that a tract of land 200 acres laying on the East side of the Magagadavic River, and Joining the Upper line of a Lot lately applied for by $Rufus Brockway which is in its Natural and Uncultivated State, may be Granted to him for which land he has not directly or indirectly bargained or agreed for the Sale or transfer of to any Person or Persons whatever.
And as in Duty bound shall ever Pray
