(14 Sep 1910 - 15 Feb 2001)

In the 1920 Kinyon, Cass County, North Dakota Census, George and Emogene and five children are living on the Tamar FLATT farm.
In 1921 the family moved to Mayville, Traill County but it is believed that sometime between Gardner, Cass County and Mayville they lived in Shotley, Beltrami County, Minnesota.
Florence grew up in Mayville and went to school through the eighth grade. After her marriage the family farmed at Davenport, Cass County for thirty years where all their children were born. After William suffered a heart attack they moved to Hopkins, Hennepin County, Minnesota. Florence was a stay-at-the-farm mom who worked hard milking cows, raising feeder cattle, raising chickens, and grew/maintained a huge garden. She loved to bake, cook, and can the jellies, jams, and fruit. She only punched a clock when she worked at the Methodist Hospital in Hopkins in housekeeping for five years. William and Florence were faithful members of Zion Lutheran Church in Hopkins where they joined February 28, 1968, transferring from Davenport Lutheran Church.
