At St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Monday, July 18, 1904, Mr. Benjamin Beaudry to Miss Otillia Friend, Rev. Father Barney officiating. The groom is a quiet gentleman of exemplary habits and has made Hudson his home for several years. The bride is one of the best known young ladies of this city and is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Friend, Sr.

Ben Beaudry, 87, Resident Half Century, Dies
Ben Beaudry, a resident of Hudson for over half a century, died at the Hudson Rest Home early Monday evening, May 18, after a lingering illness.
He was born January 20, 1866 at Grand River, Quebec, Canada. When a young man, he left Canada and settled in Stillwater for a few years, coming to Hudson in about 1900. Beaudry was employed at the Omaha Railway Shops for 35 years, retiring in 1937.
He was married to Othilia Friend July 18, 1904 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Hudson by Father Barney. She died in 1949.
He was a member of the Catholic Knights, Omaha Benefit Ass'n.
He is survived by two daughters: Miss Frances Beaudry of Hudson, and Mrs. Irene Butterfield of Centralia, Wash.; three sons: John of Minneapolis, and Philip and Eugene of Hudson; 16 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild; three brothers: Peter and Arthur of Montreal, Canada and Charles of Saulte Ste. Marie, Mich.; and a sister, Amelia of Montreal, Canada. One son Ernest died in 1931.
Visitation was at the Jasper Funeral Home and funeral services were held at 9:00 o'clock Thursday morning from St. Patrick's Catholic church, Msgr. J. M. Owens officiating. Interment was made in St. Patrick's cemetery. The pallbearers were Ed Riedel, George Rhodey, Alva Barnhardt, Otto Abel, Jacob Bertelsen and Joseph Gartmann.
