Little Philip Beaudry, six years old, was badly burned Friday morning while playing with matches.

Miss Ruth Margaret Axt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Axt, and Phillip Benjamin Beaudry, both popular young people of this city, were united in marriage at nine o'clock Friday morning, August 4, at the St. Patrick's parish house. The service was read by Rev. Father Peter Rice. They were attended by Miss Janet Axt, sister of the bride, and Eugene Beaudry, brother of the groom.
The bride was very prettily gowned in a delphinium blue silk crepe ensemble with grey turban and grey accessories. She carried an arm bouquet of Ophelia roses. Her maid of honor, Miss Janet Axt, wore a yellow ensemble with white hat and accessories and carried an arm bouquet of yellow gladiolus.
A wedding breakfast followed the ceremony served to the bridal party and immediate members of the family at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Axt, 1307 Sixth Street. The home was beautifully decorated with bouquets of gladiolus and the bridal table was decorated with pink and white flowers and the wedding cake.
Following a short trip, Mr. and Mrs. Beaudry have returned to Hudson and are at home at 813 St. Croix Street. Mr. Beaudry is employed at the Omaha car shops. The bride has been the guest of honor at several showers and social affairs previous to the wedding.

Mrs. Phil Beaudry, who is ill at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Axt, is gaining nicely but is still confined to the house.

Mr. and Mrs. Phil Beaudry who have been spending several months with the latter's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Axt, due to Mrs. Beaudry's health, were able to return to their home on St. Croix St. on Saturday. The many friends of Mrs. Beaudry are glad to hear she is feeling very much better and gaining satisfactorily.

Mrs. Philip Beaudry (Ruth Axt) and infant son, James Arthur, returned home from River Falls Hospital on Wednesday of last week. James Arthur was born at the River Falls Hospital on July 29. On Sunday the infant child was baptized at the St. Patrick's Catholic church by the Rev. Msgr. J. M. Owens.

Catholic Knights Honor Phil Beaudry
Philip Beaudry, 801 Oak St., was honored by the Catholic Knights' Society Sunday, May 21, at a special breakfast at the JR Ranch. He was presented a gold rosary by agent John Karras for 50 years as a member of the society. During the breakfast Beaudry showed a badge worn by his father, the late Ben Beaudry, for many years at Catholic Knights activities. A number of Beaudry's relatives attended including his wife, Ruth, his son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Terrance Beaudry, his sister, Mrs. Frances Powers and cousins, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Thome.

Philip B. Beaudry, 81, a lifelong resident of Hudson, died early Monday, January 22, in the emergency room at Hudson Memorial Hospital, where he had been taken from his home.
He was born in Hudson, March 30, 1908, the son of Benjamin Benoit and Othilia (Friend) Beaudry. He attended St. Patrick's Grade School and Hudson High School.
On August 4, 1933, he was married in Hudson to Ruth Axt.
During his working years, he was employed by the Omaha Railroad (C.St.P.M.&O.) in the blacksmith department of the car repair shops in North Hudson until his retirement in 1956.
He was a local history buff and took a special interest in the history of St. Patrick's Church and school. As a young man, Beaudry was chauffeur for the Rev. Peter Rice, the priest at St. Patrick's. He was especially adept recalling various dates and incidents in Hudson's history.
He was an avid bird watcher and could name and recognize most of the birds in this area, predicting when they would leave and return. He also enjoyed gardening and woodworking.
Surviving are his wife, Ruth; two sons, James of St. Louis, MO., and Terry' of Hudson; a daughter, Mrs. Gene (Peggy) Shefland of Hudson; two sisters, Frances Powers of Hudson and Irene Butterfield of Centralia, Wash.; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents and three brothers, Ernest, John and Eugene.
Mass of Christian Burial was Wednesday, January 24, at 2 p.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, with the Rev. Peter Szleszinski officiating. At the service, organist was Elsie Sandquist, the Hope Choir sang, and Richard N. Larsen was vocal soloist.
Burial was in St. Patrick's Cemetery where pallbearers were Thomas, Michael, Kevin and Joseph Beaudry, Donald Lonergan and William Engstrom.
