Kenneth George Sargent, 22 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Sargent of the town of St. Joseph, passed away at the home of his parents last Sunday, July 29, after being ill for several weeks with an acute attack of Bright's disease. Taken in the prime of young manhood, Kenneth's untimely death left sorrow and grief among his many friends as well as among member of his family.
Kenneth was bor on April 19, 1912 at Scranton, North Dakota, and when six months old his parents moved to Hudson, settling on a farm northeast of this city. There he attended the McKinley school and grew to manhood. Industrious and conscientious, he assisted his father with the operation of their farm and looked forward to a life of helpfulness and happiness.
Besides his parents, he is survived by a brother, Archie Sargent, and a sister, Mrs. Martin Simpson. His death is also deeply mourned by his fiancee, Miss Ruth Christenson.
Funeral services were held from the Jones funeral parlors in Stillwater at 2:30 o'clock Monday afternoon and interment was made in the cemetery at Houlton.
