Archie Warren Sargent, 24-year-old son of the town of St. Joseph, passed away on Saturday, September 1st, at the General Hospital at Madison, Wisconsin, after an illness of three weeks.
Taken in the prime of young manhood, Archie's untimely death left sorrow and grief among his many friends as well as among members of his family. Archie was born on May 22, 1910 at Scranton, North Dakota. He came to Hudson when three years old with his parents, who settled on a farm northeast of the city. There he attended McKinley school and grew to manhood. Industrious and conscientious, he assisted his father with the operation of their farm and looked forward to a life of helpfulness and happiness.
Besides his parents, he is survived by one sister, Mrs. Martin Simpson. Funeral services were held from the O'Connell funeral parlors in Hudson at 11 o'clock Tuesday morning, and interment was made in the cemetery at Houlton. Rev. Oscar Thompson officiated.
The pallbearers were Wm. Reese, Harold Frazier, William Dierks, Lynis Simpson, Clark Michaelson and Freeman Michaelson.
