Adolph G. Johnson, 83, of Baldwin and a former resident of Hudson, died Friday., Dec. 25, at the Baldwin Community hospital.
He was born Jan. 17, 1897 in Avoca, the sone of Iner and Lena Johnson.
For 36 years he was employed by the Chicago Northwestern railroad and retired in 1957. The family moved to Baldwin in 1968.
He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and was a member of Gethsemane Lutheran church in Baldwin.
On March 28, 1928 he was united in marriage to Olga Jostad in Hudson.
Surviving are his widow, Olga; a daughter, Lorraine (Mrs. Raymond Heebink) of Baldwin; a son, Gerald A. Johnson of Hudson; a sister, Alma M. Johnson of Hudson; 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents; four brothers; a son, Richard Eugene Johnson in 1967; and two grandchildren.
Visitation was Sunday, December 27 at the Dull Funeral Home in Baldwin. Serices were Monday, December 28 at Gethsemane Lutheran Church in Baldwin. During the rites Paul Willink was organist and Mark Willink vocalist. Interment was in Willow River Cemetery in Hudson. Casketbearers were Jason Johnson, Leo Diehl, Tom Weber, Don Krupa, Mitch Linder, Joel Heebink and Loren Heebink.
