Janet Ida Jenson
(1 Mar 1924 - 20 Jan 1926)
HSO, 28 Jan 1926, p1, c2
BABY JANET
"Safe in her Father's keeping,
Who sent her calm release.
'Tis only we are weeping,
She dwells in perfect peace."
Less than two short years ago, the home of the N. J. Jenson, Jr. family was gladdened and thrilled by the advent of "triplets" on March 1, 1924. They grew and thrived and enjoyed the visits of hundreds of frieds as well as strangers, who had heard of the three babies.
Little Janet during the winter had not grown and thrived like the bouncing big brother John and sister Jane, who outgrew and outweighed her, as winter wore on.
All that medical skill could do was done for her, but of no avail. During the early morning hours of Jan. 22, 1926, Little Janet went safely to sleep on her mother's breast, without any apparent pain or struggle, but a wee smile on the tiny features, "Safe in the arms of Jesus."
Services were held in the Humbird chapel, Willow River cemetery, Sunday, Jan. 24, Rev. Mr. Thompson officiating. There the little form will rest, till the snows of winter, release the earth from their icy clutch.
The sympathy of the whole community was amply expressed in the wealth of floral offerings which completely covered the tiny casket.
Out of town relatives and friends who attended the funeral were" Mrs. B. S. Anderson of Minneapolis; Miss Jeanette Stayberg and Mrs. G. Sommers of St. Paul.
"When a sudden sorrow comes like cloud and night
Wait for God's tomorrow, all will then seem bright.
Only wait and trust Him, just a little while;
After evening tear drops, shall come the morning smile."
