Hoyer-Shoemaker
Alfred S. Hoyer and Miss Pearle T. Shoemaker were united in marriage at the home of the bride's mohter on Third Street, Wednesday evening by Rev. L. R. S. Ferguson of the Church of Messiah, St. Paul. The wedding vows were taken in the presence of large number of friends and relatives of the contracting parties, bride and groom being unattended, the beautiful ritualistic services of the Episcopal church being adhered to and all other supplementary observances being dispensed with.
The congratulations heaped upon the happy couple at the conclusion of the ceremony were of the heartiest and most enthustistic kind. A delicious wedding repast was served after the conventional greetings were over and the joyful excitement was allyed, eight of our most attractive young ladies, handsomely gowned serving the refreshments to the goodly number of guests present.
The interior of the parental home was beautifully decorated and the event was altogether a charming one that lacked nothing to make it happily and cheerfully remembered.
The bridal couple are so well known here and so greatly loved and respected that no occasion exists for extolling their respective merits, nor would it add nything to the high esteem in which they are held by all who have the pleasure of their acquaintnce. After a bridal tour, the route of which has not been made pubic, Mr. and Mrs. Hoyer will depart for their new home in Norfolk, Neb.
