Ebert Montgomery Stanton

(6 Sep 1903 - )

BIOGRAPHICAL:
Ebert Stanton, as a young man, freighted with horses from Brusett to Miles City
to Ingomar. Mostly, empty going and loaded coming back. Ebert and Howard
Reeves hauled the lumber from Miles City for the first grade in Jordan. Later
he hauled grain with his Model T trucks. In the 1940's he bought the Waltz Inn
from Johnny Moore and planned to help set up a business in Jordan. The plan
fell through and Ebert sold the building to the Brusett Community Hall
Association and it became the present Fairview Community Hall. This replaced
the old hall that was located several miles to the north and had been built in
1915.
