Niles W. Stanton, 58, of Brusett, rancher and a mail carrier, died Monday,
December 23, at the Garfield County Hospital in Jordan, following an illness of
several months.
Niles Stanton was born at Dodge City, Kansas, Dec. 28, 1909. He came with
his parents, Mr. and Mrs. T. K. Stanton, to the Brusett area in 1914 where they
homesteaded. He married Clara Worthington March 28, 1932 and they ranched in
the Brusett area. He has carried mail between Jordan and Brusett for the past
12 years.
Survivors include his widow; two sons, Neil and Thomas of Brusett; a
daughter, Mrs. Martin (Mildred) Svenson; a brother, Ebert of Jordan; and eight
grandchildren.
