Florence Sylvia Bottolfson was born in the town of Alden in Polk county, Dec. 27, 1902, the daughter of Miles and Anna Halvorson Gibson. She married Oscar Bottolfson, June 15, 1920 in New Richmond. She died at Amery, Monday, Nov. 7. [this date or day can't be correct--Monday was the 4th in 1963, the 7th was on a Thursday].
She is survived by her husband, six sons, Howard and Russell, both of Star Prairie; George, Forest Lake, Minn.' Curtis and Orio, both of Osceola; LeRoy, Amery; one daughter (Alice), Mrs. Charles Brisson, St. Paul; 23 grandchildren, five brothers, Rolia, Spearfish, SD; Percy, Wyoming; John, Osceola; David in the US Navy stationed at Norfolk, Va.; five sisters, Mrs. Joseph Christianson, Amery; Mrs. Robert Swenson, Osceola; Mrs. Joseph Radu__, Stillwater; Mrs. David Lindey, Mpls.; and Mrs. Donald Larson, New Richmond.
Funeral services were held from West Immanuel Lutheran church. Interment was held in the church cemetery. Casketbearers were Jasper Christenson, Bernard Bottolfson, Lloyd Bottolfson, Sig Ronning, Harvey Larson and Jelmer Pederson.
