Death
Goldie V. White, 87, died at Village Care Nursing Home in Galion Wednesday, April 7, 1993. Mrs. White was born April 1, 1906, in Elizabeth, W. Va., to Wren and Grace (Roberts) Furr, both deceased. She married Grover C. White July 3, 1928, and he preceded her in death May 10, 1967. She is survived by sons Grover L. White, Marion, Lewis F. White, Reedsville, and Thomas White, Port Charlotte, Fla., daughters Mrs. JeanM. Boyce, Marion, Mrs. Elsie L. Lormor, Galion, and Mrs. Virginia Shenberger, Ashland, 12 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren, as well as a sister, Sylvia Rutan, Mansfield. She was preceded in death by a son, Jack White, five brothers and two sisters. Mrs. White was a member of the Lydia Chapter 8 Order of the Eastern Star in Marion and the White Shrine of Marion. The Rev. Larry A. Draper will conduct funeral services Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Mark A. Schneider Funeral Home, Galion, with burial at Chapel Heights Cemetery, Marion. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 7-9 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.Endnotes
