Orval Clifford Furr, of 376 W. 4th Street, retired welder of the Westinghouse Electric Corp., husband of Mrs. Edith White Furr, father of Mrs. Catherin Puster, Mrs. Deloris LaRue, Mrs. Loretta Buskirk, and Mrs. Pauline Dials, brother pf John Furr, Jim Furr, Mrs. Goldie White, Mrs. Silvia Rutan, and Mrs. Mary Shaw, passed away Wednesday in Peoples Hospital. Graveside services will be conducted at Mansfield Memorial Park Thursday afternoon at three thirty o'clock, by Rev William C. Newman, pastor of the First Christian Church. The family requests that those who wish to do so make a memorial expression to their favorite charity.Orval Clifford Furr, 66, of 376 West Fourth St., retired welder for the Westinghouse Electric Corp., died in People's Hospital early this morning following a nine month illness.Mr. Furr was born in West Virginia, June 29, 1904,and had been a resident of Mansfield for the past 40 years. He retired in June, 1969, from Westinghouse after 34 years service. He was a member of Local No. 711, UEW. Surviving are his wife, Mrs.Edith White Furr, four daughters, Mrs. Catherin Puster, Mrs. Debris LaRue and Mrs. Loretta Buskirk, all of Ashland,and Mrs. Pauline Dials of Mansfield; two brothers, John of Shelby and Jim of Shiloh; three sisters, Mrs. Goldie White of Marion, Mrs. Silva Rutan of Mansfield and Mrs. Mary Shaw of Massillon, and seven grandchildren; Graveside services will be conducted at Mansfield Memorial Park Thursday afternoon at 3:30 by Rev. William C. Newman, pastor of First Christian Church. J.H.Finefrock & Sons is in charge of arrangements. There will be no calling hours.The family requests that memorial expression be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
