Death
Furr, Homer Howard Sr., 79 Lima Services for Homer Howard Furr Sr. were today at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, by Pastor Gary Hohman. Burial was to follow in Preston Cemetery, Alger. He died at 9:35 a.m. Sunday, July 25, 2004 at his residence. He was born Feb. 13, 1925 in Alger, to Isaac H. and Elizabeth (Hoover) Furr. On Sept. 8, 1973, he married Gloria Moralez in Alger who survives. Also surviving are seven sons, Larry (Maria) Furr, Pablo (Brenda) Pinkerton, Mario (Pattie) Moralez, Homer (Tammy Jo) Furr Jr., and Isaac (Laura) Furr, all of Lima, D. Michael (Glenna) Furr and Howard (Mary Jo) Furr, both of Kenton; two daughters Peggy (Richard) Wingardener of Kenton and Katrina (David) Bradley of Lima; a daughter-in-law, Melody Criollo of Lima; three brothers, Walter (Sylvia) of Kenton, Raymond (Virginia) of Cridersville and Jack (Carrol) of Lima; a sister Ada K. Chiles of Lima; 28 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Corabella Ellis; a son Brian Furr; a grandchild; a great-grandchild; five brothers, Sherman, James, Roy, Charles and Franklin; and a brother-in-law, Donald Chiles.
