Catherine Pappas Kostakos said that as a child, her mother always took them to visit the Petron's. Kanela had curly grey hair, and she was short. The boys were very nice. They would come to Hoboken all the time, and we would visit back and forth a lot. In fact, she gave the Petron address when she got a job in New York during World War II when jobs were scarce and you had to live in NY to work there (she was living in Hoboken NJ). They lived on 28th or 29th Street in New York.
