Death

Funeral services were conducted Thursday afternoon for Mrs. Mintie Furr, 80, at Bear Creek Baptist church. Elder Jason Eudy conducted the final rites. Burial was made in the church cemetery. Mrs. Furr, who suffered a stroke in the spring, died at the home of her son, L. V. Furr, on route 3, Wednesday afternoon. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Eudy of this county and was married to the late Riley Furr. Seven children, as fellows, survive: Albert, W. M., L. V., and Paul Furr, Mrs. H. O. Lambert, and Mrs. M. M. Herrin, all of Route 3, Albemarle, and Mrs. R. H. Singleton, of Morganton. One sister, Mrs. Pollie Dick, of China Grove, also survives.
