Death
NEW LONDON — Mrs. Dora Mae Furr Lambert, 76, died at 8:45 a m. today at her home on Rt 1. She was the widow of Hurley O Lambert. Funeral services will be held at 2 p. m. Sunday at Bear Creek Primitive Baptist Church where Mrs Lambert held her membership. Officiating at the rites will be Elder Cliff Allen and the Rev Dan Abernathy. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body will remain at Hartsell Funeral Home, Albemarle, until taken to the church 30 minutes prior to the services The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 9 pm Saturday. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs Broadus Shoe of New London and Mrs Thelma Gentle of Kannapolis, two brothers, Lonnie Furr of Albemarle and Paul Furr of Mt Pleasant, and two sisters, Mrs Clara Connell of Albemarle and Mrs Margaret Singleton of Morganton.Endnotes
