ALBEMARLE — Mr. Fred William Furr, 70, of 403 E. Mason St., Albemarle, NC, died Oct. 8, 1997, at Transitional Health Service, Kannapolis, NC. Funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, 1997, in Stanly Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Furman Wilhoit officiating. Entombment will be in Stanly Gardens of Memory Mausoleum. The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Friday at Stanly Funeral Home, Inc. Mr. Furr was born in Stanly County, NC, and retired from Wiscassett Mill Co. as a fixer and foreman. He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Gladys Furr Morgan of Charlotte, NC.
