ALBEMARLE — Betty Jane Furr, 62, 639 Edgemont, died Monday (Nov. 13, 1995) at Presbyterian Hospital, Charlotte. Born Feb. 7, 1933, in Stanly County, Miss Furr was a daughter of the late George C. and Bertha Beck Furr. Retired from Wiscassett Mill Co., she was a member of Grace Baptist Church. Survivors include brother Fred Furr, Albemarle; sister Gladys F. Morgan, Charlotte; and cousin Adam Kimrey, of the home. Services: 3 p.m. Thursday, Stanly Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Furman Wilhoit. Burial at Canton Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation: 7-9 tonight at the funeral home.Endnotes
