Death
OLIVIA — James Thomas Furr, 90, died today at his home. The funeral will be held at 4 p.m. Monday at McKeithan Funeral Home Chapel in Southern Pines. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Josephine Starnes of Richmond, Va., Mrs. Pauline Lloyd of Olivia, Mrs. Gladys Burrow of Randleman and Mrs. Earline Dow of Leasburg, Fla.; two sons, Robert Furr and Charlie Furr, both of New Orleans, La.; three sisters, Mrs. Lottie Stewart, Mrs. Bertha Priest and Miss Rosa Furr, all of Vass; two brothers, Lonnie Furr of Asheboro and Henry Furr of Vass; 20 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.The Herald-Sun, Durham, North Carolina, October 24, 1982
