Death

SOUTHERN PINES - Martha Wilkes Furr 87, died Friday, Dec. 3, 1999, at Convalescent Center of Lee County, Sanford. Funeral service will be 3 p.m. Monday at Boles Funeral Home, Southern Pines, with the Rev. Earl Henderson officiating. Burial will be in Highland Baptist Church Cemetery. She was retired from Carter's Cleaners of Southern Pines. Surviving are sons, Robert F. Furr of Hartsville, S.C., Charles A. Furr of Holden Beach; daughters, Josephine Starnes of Richmond, Va., Pauline Lloyd of Olivia, Gladys Burrows of Randleman, Earline Dow of Sanford; 27 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren. The family will be at the funeral home 7-9 p.m. Sunday.
