Death
HUGO, Okla. — Ezra C. Furr, 901 W. Clayton, died Saturday in McCuistion Medical Center in Paris, Texas. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Lampton-Mills Chapel. The Rev. Ben Odell will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery under the direction of Lampton-Mills Funeral Home. Mr. Furr was born Aug. 2, 1913 in Arkansas, a son of W. C. and Nellie Pope Furr. He married Miss Edna Houchings. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church, Hugo, and a retired custodian of the Horace Mann School. Mr. Furr was a former employee of Ward’s Ice Cream Company in Hugo. Survivors include his wife,Edna; three sons, Don Furr and Haskell Furr, Hugo, and Earl Furr, Princeton, Texas; one brother, Jim Furr, Hugo; two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Crain, Hugo, and Mrs. Ivie Nietch, Hillsboro, Ore., and five grandchildren.Endnotes
