Death
HUGO, Okla. — James H. (Jim) Furr, 89, of Hugo died Saturday, July 1, 1995, at his home. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 5, at the First Assembly of God Church in Hugo with the Rev. Jerry Cooper officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Mr. Furr was born Oct. 29, 1905, in Paris, Ark., a son of Clarence and Nellie Polk Furr. He worked at Douglas Defense Plant in Tulsa, Okla., during World War II and lived in California and Coos Bay, Ore., where he worked for Georgia Pacific, retiring in 1969. He was a member of First Assembly of God Church. Surviving are his wife, Hazel Parker Furr of Hugo; one daughter, Bonnie Louise Tido of Paradise, Calif.; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and two sisters, Iva Neitch of Hillsboro, ore. and Ruth Crane of Hugo.The Paris News, Paris, Texas, July 3, 1995
