Death
Services were held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Hulett chapel for I. L. Furr, Sr., 77, of 459 West Fourth St., who died unexpectedly Friday afternoon at his home. Dr. John E. Barnes officiated. Burial was in Highland Cemetery. Mr. Furr is survived by his wife, a son, five grandchildren, a brother and a sister. Pallbearers were Robert Taylor, Wayne Russell, R. K. Tucker, H, H. Talbert, J. C, Buckley, W. P. Hocutt, Harold Blakeney and Leo Fillingane. Honorary pallbearers were Dr. S. E. Bethea, Theroa Lynd, J. T. McCann, members of the Men’s Bible Class of Main Street Baptist Church and officials and employes (sic) of Hercules Powder Co.Hattiesburg American, Hattiesburg, Mississippi, September 21, 1964
