Notes
Marriage
News of the marriage of Miss Florence Howard and Mr. John Furr, of Fulton, Ala., came as a surprise even to her mother and family as no one surmised she contemplated marriage so soon. Since September Miss Howard had been assistant teacher in the public school at Fulton, and her many friends were looking forward to her home coming. She is attractive, intelligent and a thoroughly popular young woman in the social circles of this, her home town. Mr. Furr is a substantial business man, being held in general esteem by those who know him. Immediately after the marriage they left for a trip to New Orleans and from there they will go for a visit to his relatives at Wesson, Mississippi. Our best wishes and heartiest congratulations are extended. The Tuskegee News, Tuskegee, Alabama, June 3, 1909
