Services were held at 10 a. m. today in Hulett Funeral Home chapel for Norris James Furr, 66, retired Hercules Powder Company employe. Officiating ministers were Dr. John E. Barnes, pastor of Main Street Baptist Church, and Evangelist Howard S. Willlams. Masonic rites were conducted at the graveside in Highland Park Cemetery. Mr. Furr, a resident of 405 Forrest St. died Wednesday afternoon at Methodist Hospital. He was employed by Hercules for 30 years prior to his retirement in 1950. He had been extremely prominent in Masonic affairs and was a member of the Elks Lodge and Woodmen of the World.Hattiesburg American, Hattiesburg, Mississippi, April 19, 1952
