Death
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Moore Funeral Home chapel for Mrs. I.L. (Elizabeth) Furr Sr., 81, of 459 W. 4th St, who died Tuesday at the Hattiesburg Convalescent Center after a lengthy illness. Dr. John E. Barnes will officiate, with burial in Highland Cemetery. Mrs. Furr was a native of Brookhaven and had been a resident of Hattiesburg for 55 years. She had been an active member of Main St. Baptist Church for 50 years. Survivors include a son, I.L. Furr Jr. of Hattiesburg; four grandchildren, Rita and Janet Furr, and Michael and Jimmy Furr, all of Hattiesburg; and Several nieces and nephews.
