Death
BROOKHAVEN — Funeral services for Mrs. Inez Coker, wife of Brookhaven police chief Clyde Coker will be held Thursday, August 14, at 2:30 p. m, from the Brookhaven Funeral home chapel. The Rev. Robert Wall, pastor of Hamilton Street Baptist church will officiate, Interment will be in Easthaven Cemetery with the Brookhaven Funeral Home in charge. Mrs. Coker, 48, died unexpectedly Wednesday morning at 8:45 at King's Daughters Hospital. A lifelong resident of Lincoln county, she was a member of the Hamilton Street Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband; daughters, Mrs. I. H. Lee, Mrs. Jimmy Harris, Mrs. R. L. Lee, Mrs. Jerry Redman, Miss Carolyn Coker and Miss Kaye Coker, all of Brookhaven; two sisters, Mrs. J. W. Harveston and Mrs. Mamie Harveston, both of Brookhaven; three brothers, Henry Furr, W. P. Furr and Edward Furr, all of Brookhaven; and nine grandchildren.Clarion-Ledger, Jackson, Mississippi, August 14, 1958
