Death
BROOKHAVEN, Jan. 25. — Funeral services for T. Monroe Furr, 97, who passed away at his home were held from the Union Hall church. Furr is well known in this vicinity having lived here all his life. He has been connected with the County Farm for the past 30 years serving as a guard, manager and for 16 years as superintendent. Surviving are his widow the former Miss May Cox of Monticello and four sons, Prentiss Furr, Dan Furr, Preston Furr and John Furr. He was a member of the Mallalieu Methodist church. Interment will be in Union Hall cemetery.Clarion-Ledger, Jackson, Mississippi, January 26, 1941
