Notes
Death
After fifteen days of suffering with typhoid fever, it was the will of our Father to call home our dear one, Mrs. Emma Kees, who at the time lived in Canton. She was a member of the Baptist church and she loved her church. Her prayers day and night while she lay sick were that the Lord’s will be done. She was a daughter of Mr. Isaac Furr and wife of Mr. Lee Kees and leaves to mourn her death, six sisters, four brothers, mother and father, her husband and two little children. But when we look through the veil of tears, we realize it was God’s will-—the Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away. When the dark clouds are rolled away, we will again be together and live forever with God.The Semi-Weekly Leader, Brookhaven, Mississippi, July 22, 1914
