Death

Mrs. Nell Christine Furr Vita, 82, of Charlotte, died Saturday, January 2, 1999 at Monroe Rehabilitation. Mrs. Vita was born July 28, 1916 in Albemarle, NC, a daughter of the late Lonnie Furr and Nola Sasser Furr. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church. Survivors include her son, William A. Vita, Jr.; granddaughters, Terri Donahue and Anne McNair; great- granddaughters, Dedra Biggers, Maranda Donahue and Nola Donahue, all of Charlotte; and her brother, Lamar Furr of Brookville, FL. She was preceded in death by her husband, William A. Vita, Sr., in 1994 and a grandson, Tony Vita. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 AM Tuesday, January 5, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church by the Rev. William Pharr. The family will receive friends briefly at the church immediately following the service. Interment will be in Forest Lawn West Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 6828 Old Reid Rd., Charlotte, NC 28210 or to Holy Angels Nursery, 418 N, Main St., Belmont, NC 28012.
