Death
Albemarle -- M-Sgt Marvin Paul Furr, 41, who had just returned from duty in Vietnam, died unexpectedly of a heart attack at his home at 1125 Little Avenue, Fayetteville, at 10 o'clock Tuesday morning. Sgt. Furr was a member of the 82nd Airborne Division and had been in the service for 20 years. He had been home six days when he died. He was a native of Stanly County. Funeral services will be conducted today at 2 p.m, at Bethany Methodist Church by the pastor, the Rev. Robert Chinard, with burial in Fairview Memorial Park. Survivors. include his wife, Mrs. Virginia Spivey Furr; three sons, Bill Furr of Albemarle, Mike and Eddie Furr of the home; two brothers, Pratt, and Craig Furr of Albemarle; and two sisters. Mrs. Walter Clark and Mrs. James Almond, also of Albemarle.Military
