Death
Mrs. Margaret Furr Shaver, 31, died Monday morning in the Baptist Hospital. She lived in Gaston for seven months where her husband the Rev. Bradford N. Shaver, is pastor of the Hillcrest Baptist Church. Originally of Stanley County, N. C., she came to Gaston from Chesterfield County. Mrs. Shaver was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband; a son, Gene Shaver; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. P. H Furr, of Albermarle; three brothers, Pratt Furr, Craig Furr, both of Albemarle, N.C. and Marvin Furr, Ft. Bragg, N. C.; two sisters, Mrs. Ruby Clark and Mrs. Betty Jo Almond, both of Albemarle. Thompson Funeral Home is in charge. Funeral services for Mrs. Shaver will be held this morning at 10 o'clock in the Hillcrest Baptist Church, Gaston, conducted by the Rev. F. O. LeGrande and the Rev. H. J. Alban. Committal services will be held at 3 o'clock in the Anderson Grove Baptist Churchyard, Aberdeen, N. C. The body is at the residence. Active pallbearers will be E. J. Pound, Erie Mack Joe Ben Mack, Hanley Mack, Edward Mack and Eddie Lucas. They are asked to meet at the residence at 9:45 this morning. Honorary pallbearers will be Vernon Sharpe, C. D. Lucas, Oatis Lucas, Claude Lucas, Claude Lucas, Jr., Keith Smith, Claude Mack and James Jeffcoat. They will meet at the church at 9:50.The State, Columbia, South Carolina, November 15, 1960
