Levon was born and raised in Roberta, where he made many lifelong friendships. Levon was preceded in death by his siblings, Bill Furr, Earl Furr, Harold Furr, Faye Harwood, Patsy Barrier and Lorene Easley. Levon is survived by his wife of 58 years, Terry Furr of Concord; daughter, Nichole Loos and husband, Bernie of Harrisburg; special son, Eddie Sanders and wife, Mitchie of Mt. He also adored his beloved granddog, Stella. Levon graduated from Harrisburg High School and went on to proudly serve his country in the U.S. Army. He was an outstanding athlete, excelling in everything from softball to golf. He also umpired in Cabarrus County for many years. Levon retired from Stone Container Corporation in Charlotte. Levon, along with his wife, also owned and operated Jackson Park Short Stop in the Jackson Park community for many years. He also worked at Green Oaks golf course, where he formed many lasting friendships from there to this day. Levon was a member of Roberta United Methodist Church and attended Oakridge Baptist Church. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends and the community that loved him. We want to extend a thank you to our friends and neighbors that have been by our side during his illness. A special thank you to Debbie Carter for all of your love and support. There will be a private graveside service Wednesday, Nov. 23, at West Concord Cemetery, officiated by the Rev.
