Death
Lorene "Rene" Brenda Easley, 75, of Norwood, passed away Monday, May 24, 2021, at Atrium Health Cabarrus in Concord. Rene was born Jan. 24, 1946, in Concord, to the late Matthew "Dick" Furr and the late Laura Mae Furr. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Harold Easley; sisters, Patsy Barrier and Faye Harwood; and brothers, Earl Furr, Bill Furr and Harold Furr. Survivors include daughter, Kelly Gray and husband, Robert, of Concord; daughter, Cindy M. Baucom and husband, Jeffrey, of Rockwell; grandchildren, Jennifer Revelle and husband, Brandon, Brett Baucom and wife, Robin, Ryan Linker and wife, Corissa, and Savana Baucom; great-grandchildren, Myles Revelle, Allie Revelle, Macie Linker, Reese Baucom, Caroline Linker and Brystal Linker; stepgrandchildren, April Rottgen and husband, Shaun, Josh Gray and wife, Sharie, and Laura Key and husband, Benjamin; stepgreat-grandchildren, Logan Rottgen, Aidan Gray, Slade Rottgen, Kaitlyn Gray, Brenlee Skladanowski, Emmalee Skladanowski, Brianna Rottgen, Brooklyn Rottgen and Madison Key; as well as brothers, Levon Furr and wife, Terry; Jerry Furr and wife, Maxine, and Jack Furr; and her lifelong best friend, Terry Wilhoit Taylor. The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, May 26, at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. A memorial service to celebrate her life will follow at 7 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, officiated by the Rev. Gary Bragg.
