Death
CONCORD, April 16. — Milas L. Furr, 76, Concord resident, died at 12:50 a. m. today at his home on Cedar street. He had been in declining health for several years. Funeral rites will be held at 4 p. m. Tuesday at the home, and burial will follow in Oakboro cemetery. Dr. E. S. Summers, assisted by Rev. H. F. Goodwin, will conduct the services. Mr. Furr is survived by his wife, the former Miss Ada Bell Graham, and the following children; Miss. Elizabeth Furr and John Furr of the home: Mrs. Lewis Cook, Mrs. Floyd Barnhardt, Mrs. Mike Love, Mrs. Earl Taylor, and Mrs. Gene Porctor, all of Concord: one sister, Mrs. Sophie Kerr of Roberta; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.The Charlotte Observer, Charlotte, North Carolina, April 17, 1951Endnotes
