Death
CONCORD - Mrs. Mary Evelyn Furr Taylor, 90, 2908 Country Home Road, died Thursday, Jan. 27, 2005 at The Country Home. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday, at Wilkinson Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Stanly Spence will officiate. Burial will be at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from noon to 1 p.m. Friday at Wilkinson Funeral Home. Mrs. Taylor was born March 16, 1914 in Cabarrus County the daughter of the late Milas L. and Ada Belle Graham Furr. She retired from Cannon Mills Plant Two. She was a member of Kerr Memorial Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Taylor was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas E. Taylor, who died in 1990, a son, Howard E. “Red” Taylor Sr., four sisters and one brother. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Carolyn Taylor of Concord; son, Mr. Jim W. Taylor and wife, Elfreda, of Charlotte; sister, Mrs. Beulah Proctor of Concord; grandchildren, Howard E. Taylor Jr. and wife, Zandi, Micheal Taylor; and three step-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Kerr Memorial Baptist Church, 25 N.C. Hwy. 49 South, Concord, NC 28026 or to the charity of one’s choice. Condolences may be left at www.wilkinsonfuneralhome.com.
