Death
Two Widows Claim Body In ForsythWinston-Salem, Aug. 26. —(AP) —A Winston-Salem man who died early Wednesday was revealed today to be in the unusual circumstances of having two widows. The man, Robert E. Furr, 35, was married to a High Point woman about three years ago and was married again about a year and a half ago. His wife who lived with him here, Mrs. Mary Hardiman Furr, said today that she did not think he had secured anything of a divorce or separation from his first wife. “But the doctors said it was not his fault.” she declared. “The doctors said he wasn't responsible. He was sick and had something pressing against his brain.” Mrs. Furr said she learned of the first marriage about two months ago and that she did not hold it against her husband. She said she has become close friends with his first wife who lives in High Point, and is Mrs. Violet Furr. The High Point widow confirmed the unusual situation.
