Death
Mrs. Mary Jane Furr, 84, route 6, Statesville, died at 7:30 a.m. today at Iredell Memorial Hospital where she had been a patient tor the past three weeks. A native of Moore County, she was born September 21, 1878, a daughter of the late John and Martha Moore McCloud. She was married to John R. Furr who died October 29, 1948. They resided in the Biscoe area most of their married life. She had made her home with a son, J. A. Furr, route 6, Statesville, for the past 14 year's. Also surviving are a son, F. L. Furr of Louisburg; three daughters, Mrs. Carl Fultz of Randleman, Mrs. J. W. York of Asheboro, and Mrs. J. C. Horn of High Point; two sisters, Mrs. Yancey Freeman and Miss Sarah Catherine McCloud, both of Biscoe; 13 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. She was a member of the Southside Baptist Church in High Point. The body remains at Bunch Funeral Home pending completed funeral plans.Statesville Record and Landmark, Statesville, North Carolina, April 23, 1963
