Death
Mrs. Lavinia Widenhouse, mother of our townsman, E. A. Widenhouse, died on Friday at the home of a daughter in Troy. She was buried at Center Grove Church cemetery the following day. Among those attending the funeral from this place were: Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Efird and daughter, Miss Bertie, Mrs. M. A. Boger and Miss Lelia Furr, who is a teacher in the Wiscassett School.Stanly News and Press, Albemarle, North Carolina, November 22, 1927
