Mr. Robert Furr let his left hand get tangled in a pumping machine at the University Saturday afternoon, when his left hand was so badly mashed that it was necessary to amputate the middle finger. He is doing nicely.

Death
Robert P. Furr, father of Dr. George C. Furr of Clarksdale, died Wednesday night about 11 at The Greenbough where he had been a patient for nine months. Mr. Furr was 93. Dr Furr is his only survivor. Services will be held Friday at Oxford, and burial will be there. Elliott Funeral Home is in charge. Mr. Furr was a retired power plant supervisor of the University of Mississippi, a position he held for 47 years.The Clarksdale Press Register, Clarksdale, Mississippi, January 16, 1975
