Death
CONCORD — Troy Jerome Furr, 73, of 249-4 Country Club Drive, formerly of Greensboro, died Sunday at Cabarrus Memorial Hospital. Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in St. John’s Lutheran Church cemetery. He was a native of Cabarrus County, a retired retail merchant with Thalhimers and Montaldos in Greensboro, member of Saint James Lutheran Church and the Odd Fellows Lodge in Greensboro. Surviving are wife, Mrs. Irene Ridenhour Furr; son, Troy J. Furr Jr. of Palm Beach, Fla.; one grandchild. Memorials may be made to the Memorial Fund of Saint James Lutheran Church. Wilkinson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.News and Record, Greensboro, North Carolina, January 28, 1985
