Death
Mrs. Neta Garmon Furr, 71, died about 11 p.m. Tuesday at the home of her son, Dewey D. Furr on Route 3, Albemarle. Death came rather suddenly and was attributed to a heart condition. Mrs. Furr lived in Midland and was the daughter of the late Martin Calvin and Mary Parker Garmon of Cabarrus County. Funeral services were held Thursday at 4 p.m. at the Mill Grove Methodist Church at Midland by Rev. Warren Hawks. Burial was in the church cemetery. Survivors include two sons, Dewey D. of Route 3, Albemarle and Troy J. of Mobile, Ala.; six grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. T. H. Scarboro of Concord. Her husband, O. B.
