Death
Charles Junius Furr, 80, formerly of High Point, died Aug. 14, 2000, at Winston-Salem Rehabilitation Center. He was born July 16, 1920, in Stanly County, a son of James Silas and Nell Moody Furr. He was a resident of the High Point area for 70 years. He retired from Amos Hosiery Co. in 1986 and was a member of Christ United Methodist Church. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Doris Jean Wilson of West End; two sons, Jim Furr of Greensboro and David Furr of Thomasville; a sister, Mrs. Helen Guarino of Chapel Hill; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Inurnment graveside service will be 2 p.m. Friday in Guilford Memorial Park Cemetery by the Rev. Glenn L. Myers. Visitation will be 7-8:30 tonight at Sechrest Funeral Service, High Point.
