Death

JAMESTOWN - Mrs. Martha Louise Hollingsworth Furr, 76, of 5507 Harvey Road, died Thursday, Oct. 16, 1997, at High Point Regional Hospital. The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Hickory Chapel Wesleyan Church by the Rev. Douglas T. Caldwell and Dr. Fred W. Hill. Burial will be in Guilford Memorial Park. Mrs. Furr was born Aug. 25, 1921, in Jonesville, S.C., a daughter to William E. and Minnie Wardell Hollingsworth. She was a resident of the High Point area most of her life, and retired from Kaylyn Manufacturing Co. She was a member of Hickory Chapel Wesleyan Church and the Senior Bible Class. Surviving are two sons and one daughter-in-law, David and Donna Furr, 444 Stacey St., Thomasville, Jim Furr of Greensboro; three sisters, Mrs. Virginia Hill of 208 Avondale St., High Point, Mrs. Dorothy Sellers of 3159 Dillon Road, Jamestown, Mrs. Norma Cox of Fayetteville; three brothers, T.W. Hollingsworth of 3102 Kivette Dr., High Point, James Hollingsworth of Long Beach, and Bobby Hollingsworth of 321 Gregg St., Archdale; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday at Sechrest Funeral Home, E. Lexington Ave., and other times at the home of a sister, Mrs. Dorothy Sellers, 3159 Dillon Road, Jamestown.
