Death
ALBEMARLE, March 7 — Mrs. Emily Frances Whitley, 60, wife of W. Henry Whitley, died at her home, Route 3, early this morning, 10 days after suffering a paralytic stroke. Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 4 o'clock at Bear Creek Baptist church with burial in the church cemetery. Surviving in addition to her husband are five daughters, four sons and two brothers.The Charlotte Observer, Charlotte, North Carolina, March 8, 1944
